Join with me, Darling! ~
Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary with this historical plaque. Perfect for a classroom setting this large plaque features Benjamin Franklin's "Join or Die" illustration engraved onto a piece of birch and featuring velcro lined cut-outs for your favorite bifurcated Snek.
First published by Benjamin Franklin in the Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1754, the "Join, or Die" cartoon is considered the first political cartoon printed in America. The first appearance of "Join, or Die" was not as a drawing, but as a woodcut carved by hand and pressed onto paper. This wooden engraving honors that tradition and commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, 1776–2026.
